Mortal Flesh is a collection of figurative paintings I created in 2019 as a part of the Efroymson Bridge Year Fellowship at the University of Southern Indiana. Much of the work in this collection are series that explores contemporary issues through classic literary references such as greek mythology and Shakespeare. I was interested in how this marriage of present problems and past narratives could connect the human condition through time.
